CAIR is operated with volunteer effort and personal donations. CAIR a registered Colorado nonprofit and does not pay salaries. Yet we have certain expenses that we have to cover, including: website hosting and ongoing maintenance, email alert yearly service fee, and incidental expenses. Ideally, we would like to be able to pay Stan for gas for his numerous trips back and forth to Denver, but we can not even afford that.
That's why we are asking for your donation. Your donation, no matter how large or how small, will help CAIR continue our efforts for immigration sanity in Colorado. Thank you!
Terry Anderson tribute video
Articulating the Popular Rage - a video tribute to Terry Anderson by Fred Elbel.
Terry Anderson's very successful radio show The Terry Anderson Show ran for 10 years. Terry's was the only radio show in the country that focused exclusively on illegal immigration and the obligation of our government to secure our border and enforce our immigration. Terry was an outspoken leader for the cause of halting illegal immigration and enforcing American laws. This video is a tribute to Terry, who died in July, 2010.
Here is more information on Terry Anderson, including videos.

The Sanctuary City of Denver
Even though sanctuary cities have been made illegal in Colorado, it appears that Denver is in fact still a sanctuary city.
Fact or Fiction? Denver has been certified by a state audit report as being in compliance with SB 06-090.
FACT: The 2009 state audit was an audit of the reporting process, not an audit of the numbers submitted by cities and counties. It did not certify Denver or any city as being in compliance. For example, in 2007, 181 Colorado cities and counties reported zero contacts with ICE, yet none were audited for compliance.
Fact or Fiction? Mayor Hickenlooper claims that Denver "made over 7,000 calls to ICE since 2006."
FACT: Denver police officers made less than 500 calls to ICE since 2006 out of over 250,000 total arrests, over 15,000 DUI arrests and over 500,000 traffic stops. Over 7,000 referrals were made to ICE by the Denver county jail for individuals already in custody. Hickenlooper consistently lumps the two numbers together - Denver police referrals and jail referrals – thereby misrepresenting the extent of Denver police contacts with ICE.

Interview with CAIR Director Stan Weekes
Listen to this 50 minute September 4, 2010 podcast interview with Stan Weekes on FreedomTalkNetCast. (You can also listen to the archived interview here.)
"Our guest this week is Stan Weekes, the director of the Colorado Alliance for Immigration Reform. Stan has done an incredible amount of work behind the scenes working on issues related to immigration law enforcement in Colorado. Colorado Alliance for Immigration Reform (CAIR) is a non-profit, Colorado organization seriously concerned with America's rapid population growth and the devastating effects that growth will have on the future of Colorado and the nation.
The U.S. population will double this century - within the lifetimes of children born today. 70% of this doubling will be caused by mass immigration - that is, by recent immigrants and their descendants. That will require roughly twice as many houses, cars, roads, prisons, hospitals, schools, water treatment facilities, etc. The result will be twice as much pollution, sprawl and pressure on our dwindling natural resources and the resources that we draw from other countries.
Accordingly, CAIR is calling for a pro-active, national policy to stabilize U.S. population and conserve our natural resources by insisting Congress set more realistic numbers of legal immigration (not exceeding 100,000 per year)."
June 5 and 12 rallies in Phoenix!
The June 5 Phoenix Rising rally in support of Arizona's immigration law was a resounding success. Although temperatures exceeded 105 degrees, nearly 3,000 Americans stood in the hot sun to express support for the rule of law in Arizona. As always, the left-wing media did not accurately reported on this rally. Here are more info and photos. Here are videos of the majority of speakers.
Sadly, it appears that a third party (Alipac) is trying to discredit this rally and its organizer Daniel Smeriglio. For details, see this series of articles.
By the way, there is a second rally on June 12 in Phoenix. It is being organized by Phil Russo of the Tea Party movement in Florida. It was not organized in any way to compete with the June 5 rally. Please attend one or both of the rallies if you can!

Dr. Rogers exposed the staggering financial burden placed upon hospitals (and US Citizens) when forced to offer free care for illegal aliens. Dr. Rogers subsequently lost his job.

Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) offered an amendment to the House Energy and Commerce Committee this morning that would explicitly prohibit illegal aliens from receiving health care benefits under the health care reform bill (H.R. 3200). The amendment was narrowly defeated.

Smart Business Practices
Use of the E-Verify (formerly Basic Pilot Program) database makes smart business sense because it ensures that all new hires have a legal right to work in the United States. And, it protects employers from fines and penalties for knowingly or unknowingly hiring illegal foreign workers.
It also makes customers happy. Most Americans want to frequent businesses that hire legal workers.
Simply go to www.SmartBusinessPractices.com/pilot and enter the search criteria below to see lists of companies using the E-Verify program.
A June 2006 National Federation of Independent Business member survey found that 78 percent of small business owners support increasing penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens, while a June 2006 National Association for the Self-Employed member survey revealed that eighty-two percent of micro-business owners oppose offering amnesty to all illegal immigrants currently in our country.

¤ Please consider sending a donation to CAIR. Although we depend on volunteer effort, we have operating expenses that we need to cover. Your donation will allow us to continue our active effort in fighting for immigration sanity.
It's now up to us
Estimates of the number of illegal aliens currently residing in the U.S. range from 10 to 20 million. Time magazine estimates that three-million illegal aliens from all over the world now enter the U.S. annually (with an conservatively estimated 250,000 currently residing in Colorado), far outnumbering the 1.2 million legal immigrants entering the country annually. The U.S. admits more legal immigrants than all of the countries of the world admit, combined. Massive illegal immigration is an insult to America's generous immigration policy.
Polls show that 70-80 percent of the Americans, across racial, ethnic and class lines, want illegal immigration halted. But the U.S. government continues to fail in its First Obligation: the protection of its citizens. Instead, the President and members of the Congress are again foolishly offering as the solution to illegal immigration the tried-and-failed amnesty approach. Since the "one-time-only" massively fraudulent 1986 amnesty, we have had six additional amnesties, proving that amnesties only encourage more illegal immigration.
The proponents of the several amnesties now before the Congress falsely claim that there are only two alternatives to illegal immigration: mass deportation-an impossible concept-and yet another amnesty (number eight), referred to under several euphemistic terms such as "guest worker programs," "regularization," "earned legalization," etc. There is a third alternative, however: attrition.
Just as a stool needs four legs to support it, attrition provides a four-legged solution to illegal immigration. Those legs are: 1) increased border enforcement, 2) increased interior enforcement, 3) sanctions against felonious employers of illegal aliens, and 4) ending government-sponsored benefits and entitlements for illegal aliens. As Gov. Lamm has noted, attrition will create self-deportation and help bring illegal immigration to manageable levels.
Because of the ongoing abdication on the part of the President, the Congress, the Gov. of Colorado and the state legislature, the responsibility for dealing with illegal immigration has now, by default, shifted to We the People.
Borderless Continent
Our intentionally unsecured borders and our government's deliberate and unapologetic lack of enforcement of our immigration laws is merely a precursor to a much larger goal - a "New America" in a borderless "North American Community." This New America would replace the traditional self-governing "Old America" for which our founders sacrificed and our soldiers fought to preserve. The Society for American Sovereignty website contains a wealth of information on plans for a "North American Community".
