The new domestic “War on Terror,”1 kicked off by the riot on Jan. 6, has prompted several web giants to unveil predecessors to what effectively could become a soft social credit system by the end of this decade.

China’s social credit system is a combination of government and business surveillance that gives citizens a “score” that can restrict the ability of individuals to take actions — such as purchasing plane tickets, acquiring property or taking loans — because of behaviors. Given the position of several major American companies, a similar system may be coming here sooner than you think.

Last week, PayPal announced a partnership with the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center2 to “investigate” the role of “white supremacists”1 and propagators of “anti-government” rhetoric, subjective labels that potentially could impact a large number of groups or people using their service. PayPal says the collected information will be shared with other financial firms and politicians.

Facebook is taking similar measures, recently introducing messages that ask users to snitch on their potentially “extremist” friends,1 which considering the platform’s bias seems mainly to target the political right. At the same time, Facebook and Microsoft are working with several other web giants and the United Nations on a database to block potential extremist content....

The growth of such restrictions, which will only accelerate with support from (usually) left-wing politicians, could create a system in which individuals who do not hold certain political views could be blocked from polite society and left unable to make a living.

The potential scope of the soft social credit system under construction is enormous....

Biden: White Supremacy is ‘the Most Lethal Threat to Our Homeland In Recent Years’ - He can only hope that the jihadis decide to cooperate with his Big Lie, by Robert Spencer, Frontpage Mag, August 9, 2021:

Joe Biden, in a USA Today op-ed Tuesday that one of his handlers whipped up for him, claimed that “the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland in recent years has been domestic terrorism rooted in white supremacy.” Old White Joe, or his ghostwriter, was in a pugnacious mood: “We cannot ignore it. We must confront the spread of hate-fueled violence in every form.”

You know what they say about the Big Lie: it gains acceptance through relentless repetition. That’s certainly what’s happening with the claim that “white supremacy” is the biggest terror threat the nation faces today.

A bit of reality: it wasn’t “white supremacists” who rioted all last summer in Portland, Seattle, Kenosha, Wisconsin, New York, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and numerous other cities that I have already forgotten, and who are still at it in Portland, and casting a long shadow over the entire nation, with the strong hint that violence will ensue after any racial injustice, however exaggerated, misrepresented, or fabricated. The ones casting that long shadow are not “white supremacists” but Leftists: Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

When Biden talks about “white supremacy,” what he really means are ordinary citizens who oppose the dominant political philosophy – including me. Lies such as the ones Biden’s hack spread in USA Today are disseminated in service of solidifying the hegemony of that philosophy....

As ubiquitous as this propaganda is, insistent repetitions of Big Lies doesn’t make them true – even when they’re repeated by Old Joe himself. ...
