Officials announced Thursday that first-degree murder charges were filed against a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend.

Police continue to search for 32-year-old German Medina after the body of his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Bertha Garcia, was discovered under a bush on the 1900 block of Paris Street in Aurora Monday afternoon.

"[Medina] asked his brother to borrow a car and a gun," Aurora Officer Frank Fania said.

Medina's brother says he didn't let him borrow a gun, but he did lend Medina his black Lexus.

Garcia was walking back inside her home after saying goodnight to a friend just after midnight Sunday but she never made it to the front door...

The car he borrowed from his brother is a black 1997 Lexus two door with Colorado plates 339-WDJ.
