... A relative of the semi driver suspected of causing the crash, who was identified Friday as Rogel Aguilera-Mederos, told Denver7 the 23-year-old worked for Castellano 03 Trucking in Houston.

Records show that Castellano is a small trucking firm with five drivers and five vehicles.

Records also show that since the fall of 2017, the company has had 19 inspections with 30 violations, 10 of them for brake issues.

Two of the violations are related to a weak grasp of the English language.

Charges filed against driver of semi that caused deadly, fiery I-70 crash, KDVR, May 4, 2019.

Trucker that caused fatal crash worked for company with history of brake issues, KDVR, April 29, 2019:

The arrest affidavit also says Mederos passed a runaway truck ramp, citing a video obtained by the Problem Solvers recorded by another trucker on the highway that day. The signs are in English.
Two of Castellano 03 Trucking’s violations concern drivers grasp of the English language, including: “Driver cannot read or speak the English language sufficiently to respond to official inquiries,” and “Driver must be able to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language.”...

It would be reasonable at this point for authorities to investigate whether the driver is an illegal alien who can not adequately read road signs.
