New CAIRCO reference section: history and usage of terms alien and illegal alien

CAIRCO just published a new reference page: Terminology history and usage: alien and illegal alien. It includes some fairly extensive research on how these terms are legally defined and how they are used pervasively in government, including:

  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security
  • U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Services
  • Internal Revenue Service
  • U.S. Court of Appeals
  • U.S. Supreme Court
  • Presidential Executive Orders
  • As well as in Colorado law
