... Menlo Park is a classic bedroom community. Much of the city’s appeal is centered on its “village character” downtown with its assortment of “Mom & Pop” businesses in mostly one-story buildings.
Yet Menlo Park’s City Council plans to convert three of our busy downtown parking plazas serving our one-of-a-kind small businesses into high-density seven- and eight-story subsidized housing projects.
If this housing is built, half of our small businesses would likely close during the three years of construction alone. More will close once the housing projects are built, when our tranquil, small-town ambiance morphs into chaos and crowding as a thousand new residents move into the 345 units in apartment towers shoehorned between our one-story buildings...
Massive high-rise apartment complexes are popping up in our suburbs... many units are offered below market rate as “affordable housing.”...
The concept being sold to the public is that “We need more housing!” even though people are leaving California in droves. In fact, the only increase in population we’re seeing is that of “undocumented immigrants”—aka, illegal aliens...
In truth, there is no “housing crisis.”... This plan created a one-size-fits-all template for all nine Bay Area counties and their 101 cities, to strip our cities of their uniqueness through compulsory urbanization, and to cram most of the growth along “transit corridors”—bus and train lines—for the purpose of incentivizing public transportation and curtailing our reliance on cars...
We’re now getting a taste of what Al Gore referred to as the “wrenching transformation” we’d have to endure to “save the planet.”...
... few are calling attention to another aspect of encroaching communism happening under our noses in real time: the physical re-engineering of our communities....

While the attack on our suburbs is often portrayed as if it were simply disagreements over zoning issues or housing demands, in reality it’s none other than the physical rollout of the globalists’ cherished U.N. Agenda 21/Agenda 2030.
For all the good that Trump has done and continues to do to combat globalism and its kissing cousin, communism, the conversion of our suburbs into communist-style stack-and-pack dystopian housing projects is happening on the state and municipal levels where the powers of the federal government are strictly limited.
This grand plan has deep roots, going back to then-President George H.W. Bush signing our nation on to the “soft law” Agenda 21 “action plan” during the “Earth Summit” held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Subsequently, during Clinton’s administration, this globalist agenda was tucked into the newly formed “President’s Council on Sustainable Development.”
Here’s what J. Gary Lawrence, an advisor on the “President’s Council on Sustainable Development,” had to say in 1998:
Participating in a U.N. advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society… This segment of our society who fear ‘one-world government’ and a U.N. invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined ‘the conspiracy’ by undertaking Local Agenda 21. So we will call our process something else, such as ‘comprehensive planning,’ ‘growth management,’ or ‘smart growth.’
