With US population surpassing 315 million, the United States is the third most populated country in the world. We are foolishly rushing at breakneck speed to join India and China in the one billion club. Our staggering level of material consumption magnifies demand for scarce natural resources to levels that can not be sustained.

Although American women reached replacement level fertility (2.1 children per woman) in 1972, US population is projected to double within the lifetimes of children born today. Mass immigration is responsible for over two thirds of this growth.

This Census Population Dot Map shows every person in the United States and Canada according to recent census counts. On the website, you can zoom in to view states and high density population areas. From a distance, it looks like someone threw a bottle of ink at a map of the United States. Here's the picture:1

US population as of 2012

What will a population that is twice as large as today's population look like? Imagine twice as many dots. Those dots represent the overpopulated country we are bequeathing to our children - of all races and colors - thanks to mass immigration. Here's our rendition of how our country will look.2

Where will we get the farmland to feed such huge numbers? Water? Petroleum - which we are already extracting from other countries? This is the future that Congress has mandated for our country.

For a different perspective, the following is an actual NASA composite photograph of the United States at night. These lights illuminate today's population.

What would what this photo would look like with double our US population? Here's our rendition:2
