Colorado Mayor / Governor has demonstrated support for open borders and illegal aliens, and is anti-Constitution - that is, anti-Second Amendment.

From the CAIRCO article Burrito Breakfast with Mayor Hickenlooper, with photos:

On December 2, 2005, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper was the keynote speaker at a fundraiser burrito breakfast for El Centro Humanitario para los Trabajadores - Denver's hiring hall for illegal aliens. The event was to promote and fundraiser for El Centro's new Capital Campaign to improve "home away from home" for "immigrant day laborers".

The event was held at the Centro San Juan Diego Historic Site, 2830 Lawrence Street near downtown Denver. On the outside of the building is a plaque dated October 17, 2005 thanking Mayor John Hickenlooper and the City and County of Denver for providing funding for exterior renovation.

El Centro was founded in 2002 and "is Denver's first day laborer organization that provides day laborers with a safe and dignified gathering place for them to seek employment and education."

Surprisingly, the Mayor found himself confronted by Colorado Minutemen and CAIRCO activists who questioned him on Denver's sanctuary city policy for illegal aliens. CAIRCO's director asked the Mayor point-blank if he would issue an executive order mandating that he update the Denver Police Manual to require full cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ...

Recently: What a Mistake! Presidential Candidate Hickenlooper Warns Democrats: “Socialism Is Not the Answer” — Is Booed Loudly, Gateway Pundit, June 3, 2019:

... Former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper spoke Saturday at the annual California Democratic Convention.

During his speech Governor Hickenlooper told the Democrats in attendance, “Socialism is not the answer.”

The crowd nearly booed him off stage.

The booing didn’t die down until he left the stage....

Video: Hickenlooper booed at #CADem19 for attacking socialism, which he surely expected:

The Democratic Socialists Amongst Us, Powerline, June 2, 2019:

The Washington Post reports that Colorado’s former governor and current presidential candidate John Hickenlooper, appearing at the California Democratic Party state convention this weekend, criticized socialism—imagine that!—and was promptly booed by the audience:

SAN FRANCISCO — Former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper found a way to stand out at a crowded gathering of California Democrats: He denounced “socialism,” and got booed.

“If we want to beat Donald Trump and achieve big progressive goals*, socialism is not the answer,” Hickenlooper said at a Saturday afternoon session of the state party’s annual convention. As the jeering grew louder, Hickenlooper added: “You know, if we’re not careful, we’re going to end up reelecting the worst president in American history.”...

Hickenlooper Does NPR, by Joshua Sharf, American Greatness, June 7, 2019:

... Hickenlooper endorses raising the federal minimum wage, and then immediately laments the slow pace of business formation, as though they were two independent phenomena....

But overall, Hickenlooper championed a pro-renewable, anti-consumer energy and electricity plan for Colorado....

Taken together, these policies wage war on the traditional middle class, transferring their wealth to the upper-middle class, and making his professions of concern for the average worker ring hollow.....

... even Hickenlooper’s choice to de-emphasize social issues looks more like hiding the ball than changing the game. He appointed the members of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission who tormented Jack Phillips, and later shelved additional complaints against him mostly to preserve their powers, rather than see them lost altogether in the courts....

And he’s still the guy who signed the 2013 gun controls in the aftermath of the Aurora movie theater shooting. In NPR interview, he calls them “tough” laws and uses them as an example of getting things done. But in 2014, he sang a different tune to the state’s sheriffs, saying he didn’t have as many facts as he wanted. A little later in 2013, he didn’t have as many Democrats in the State Senate as he wanted, with Senate President John Morse and Senator Angela Giron both being recalled by their solidly Democratic districts over those laws....

In short, Hickenlooper is the pro-business entrepreneurial capitalist who likes only the “right kind” of jobs; the pragmatic centrist who wages social justice war in his spare time; the non-socialist who loves Medicaid expansion.

It’s a brand that, unlike his beer, nobody seems to be buying.

Uber-liberal leftist Hickenlooper was booed by Democrats for criticizing socialism, which stunningly reveals the true nature of the Democrat party.

* Hickenlooper referred to Trump's agenda as "progressive". That is decidedly not the case. Progressives are statists - that is, they want ever more government control and limitation of individual freedom. That is the antithesis of Trump's agenda. For more information, see the article:
